POVERTY NEXT DOOR was created to explore the realities of income inequality in America, to reframe the conversation on poverty and to offer solutions toward positive change. When we really understand the plight of others, or share our own struggles openly, this compassion can change hearts, policies and help break down economic barriers.
Microsoft News has partnered with Spotlight on Poverty and Opportunity through their Story Grant program to produce this series, with the goal of creating increased awareness around this serious societal challenge and to empower their readers toward action and involvement.
